March 31, 2009: "A Call for an Equitable and Sustainable Economy”

“A Call for an Equitable and Sustainable Economy” was issued on March 31, 2009 to the White House Offices: The Office of Public Liaison/Department of Energy, Environment and Natural Resources; The Office of Social Innovation and Civic Engagement; and The Council on Environmental Quality and signed by The American Sustainable Business Council and 1300 business executives, social entrepreneurs, and others committed to building an equitable and sustainable economy. This first ASB Council action in Washington was met with a positive response and provided momentum for sustained collective and cooperative action on behalf of the principles the coalition supports.
