Making the Business Case

These reports contain clear and compelling business and economic benefits exist for our policy positions. In fact, most of our policy positions include ones that have been painted by others as bad for business. These documents can be used to help educate policymakers and others about how policies based on sustainable principles can be good for all stakeholders, including the planet.

The Business Case for Eliminating PFAS Chemicals from Consumer Products
  • Many businesses have taken the lead to make products safer, more sustainable and free from harmful chemicals, including the class of chemicals know as PFAS. Polling

ASBC regularly conducts polling of small business owners nationwide. In recent years polling has covered several policy areas:

Toxic Chemicals

In general, small business owners are concerned about the threat posed by chemicals to the health of humans and the environment and are supportive of regulation aimed at mitigating that threat. Concern over the health risks posed to human and environmental health by toxic chemicals is shared among Democratic and Republican SBOs, as well as support for stricter government regulations to increase transparency and accountability so health risks can be minimized. Read the complete polling report.
