Valerie Red-Horse Mohl, of Cherokee ancestry, is the CFO of East Bay Community Foundation, whose mission is to eliminate structural barriers and advance racial/gender equity.  She is also CEO/founder of Red-Horse Financial Group and has more than 25 years’ experience as a securities professional having structured/managed over $3 billion, primarily for marginalized communities.   She is the former Executive Director/CEO of Social Venture Circle, a non-profit leader in impact investing. She is the Advisory Board Chair of Stanford’s Center for the Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity and teaches two undergraduate courses on Entrepreneurship based on racial/gender equity and impact.
