Protect the Waters of the U.S.

Overview

Protect the Waters of the U.S.

Despite the efforts of ASBC and our partners, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized the Navigable Waters Protection Rule in January, bringing to an end the administration’s multiple year project to repeal and replace the 2015 Clean Water Rule — removing vital protections the nation’s streams and wetlands. But the fight is not over!

In May, the Clean Water for All Act was introduced into the House of Representatives. The Act, if passed, would mandate the EPA rescind the Navigable Waters Protection Rule and create a new rule for water protection’s backed by science.
